Good morning all – if you can call it good with all this snow about
. After a second fall of snow on Monday night, it’s coming down again thick & fast this morning and currently about 6 inches deep.
‘Leeds Night Panorama’ is another image taken from the LGI helipad – though it’s actually a stitch of 2 images. I didn’t think about shooting a panorama at the time as we were limited to ½ hour up there, so by the time I’d set up the camera on the tripod, groped about with the camera/lens settings (I really must take a torch on these night shoots!), 10 minutes had already elapsed. Looking through my processed images, two overlapping shots looked like they would stitch, so gave it a go. My first two uploads were taken looking south from the helipad, and this is looking east, showing the Civic Hall in the centre (just below the two bright lights) with its two familiar towers to the right, which overlook Millennium Square.
Glad to say the rash has greatly improved; the redness, swelling and soreness have all decreased, but think it will be a few days yet before I’m fighting fit, but thanks to all for your thoughts whilst I’m feeling a bit down. Anyway, the weather being as it is, I’m happy to stay in hibernation at the moment!
Both images shot on manual exposure & focus + tripod at: 15 secs, F8, 35mm, ISO 100
Really must be seen large + F11 if you have the time!
Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Elements 6, with some assistance from Topaz Adjust.
Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Amazing view and excellent stitching. Sorry to hear you've been unwell, but I'm sure you can stand staying indoors a little longer.
Some great night time Leeds images Trevor. Sorry you have been poorly, keep thinking of Venice..

Another superb pano . Will have to pm you for details of how to do them as I seem to get variances from shot to shot even though I think I am doing them manually. Hope you are now feeling much better Trev . even though you are staying in doors in this horribly cold weather........Phil
