I have had sad news this morning Steve (sparrowhawk) lost his father last night
after a battle with cancer...our thoughts are with you Steve, and your family
and I dedicate these images to you

Both lovely but I love the portrait version as it gives a better impression of the steepness of the climb.

I'm a big fan of benches in landscapes, Lillian and the setting is rather idyllic for this one. v1 for me, with all the steps showing and taking you into the image. v2 leads you out of the left.

For the Queen of wildlife these landscapes are superb.
I especially like the composition in V1 with those rustic steps taking us up and round the image.
Lovely colour and the seat just spells out relaxation!

I agree Lillian - I think the landscape version works better (well, for me anyway). Beautiful details and colour in the landscape and a place to sit a while.
