Undaunted by, but inspired by Trev's post featuring some of the glass sculpture on Murano, I have decided to upload some of my images taken of the amazing lighting they create there, by hand. We visited one of the factories and the background to the montage is an image of the furnace which seemed appropriate. V2 shows one of the artists at work. The rest speak for themselves, I hope.
Anyway, thanks for looking and I hope you like some of them.

I recall on our day when I was there Lynne,it happened to be the hottest weather for years.I was about collapsing with the heat inside the factory. And I did collapse after the visit when they took us to the shop and I saw the prices !! I don't fancy one of these chandeliers anyway.Would cost a fortune getting all these 60 watt bulbs out of Morrisons to keep them going. And my wife would be constantly at me to hold the ladder steady when she is cleaning it.She would want one though. One of her favourite songs is Crystal Chandeliers by Sidney Devine. If she is that keen,he can hold the ladder for her while she is cleaning it,while he is serenading her with the song. That is if he is still alive.I have not heard from him in a while.Would just be my luck that he is suffering from athritis and is incapable to grip my ladder !!
Mick.
You would have to go one better than me, Lynne!
Seriously though, that's a super montage in V1, and the set really does show off the wonderful chandeliers so well. Those in V4 & V7 look rather familiar!
I did get a couple of images of these in our hotel, but they ain't as good as yours ![]()

What wonderful glasswork - lovely selection Lynne ![]()

Magnificent work, both by the expert workers at the factory and by you in recording them so well, Lynne. Lighting wasn't a problem, I guess...no flash needed.
Love what you have put together in V1.

A superb set Lynne,,brilliant presentation,well done..Lin
beautiful set Lynne my favourite is V7 but each and every one is, as I have come to expect from you
v2 is my favourite, lovely reflections in glass and smile...
Super montage Lynne. Love these shots of the chandeliers, personally I don't like them - prefer modern stuff. These are too 'schizy' for my tastes, but my husband would love them. My favourite of this set has to be V2. These guys are certainly true craftsmen. Moira
Your work is superb & worthy of showing the world about the glass artists.
Thanks for ur touching words.
You've captured these ornate chandeliers brilliantly Lynne, you are a real glass act
