I went back to the Minster in Newport a little while ago, and decided that i wanted a real close up of the face of this carving I have converted it to B&W and increased the contrast a little. I am probably taking my life in my hands but here it is for your consideration

Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated

I must say a huge thank you to Isabel for her UA on my image 'Grease & Shadow' a few days ago. Very remiss of me not to have thanked her before

Thanks for taking the time to look

Hugh

This is much closer than you have gone in previous uploads, it gives an intimate feel. No background, no risk of distraction.

The light/shadow in this seems just right though I feel as do others who already comment, removing that area of shoulder bottom LH side would make this better yet.

Light and shade are crucial with this shot, Hugh. They give life to the marble. Amazing shot!
