Taken in a small village church in Lescun. It was so dark I had trouble focusing, but it always surprises me what 5 seconds of exposure brings out Smile
A big thank you to franken for his user award on Chartres Marketplace; much appreciated!

Your trademark elegant presentation, Rende, and a very elegant image. Wonderfully lit, and the shadow of the stair-rail, particularly at the top, adds real magic. Gorgeous.

There's a lot of love and care been taken in the carving and bending of the timber in this staircase bannister.

I think you have done it proud with your own work in composing and following the line all the way up into the shadow on the wall.

Excellent photography Rende.

Perfect lighting for showing off this beautiful piece of wood work. That bannister is a true work of art. Your exposure is wonderful throughout.

Not an image that immediately grabs you but after you spend a few minutes going over it it grows on you and you begin to appreciate it. The starircase and floor are a pleasure and most photographers would have tried for something in that light. An excellent example of its type.
