I like this, just feel a tiny little bit more light on the chin... Though its a good shot, great detail and sharp.

Been looking at that lens, the 85mm F1.8.. impressed with it from the photos Ive seen with it.

Great portrait, I like the lighting, interesting pose and expression. But I think the ear is a bit too bright and distracts from the good pose.

I love the colour balance and contrast here. It's so easy to go monochrome with portraits but the colours make it quite striking.

I'd like a little (just a tiny, tiny bit!) of light on the shoulders though. And yeah, maybe a little photoshop burning of the ear. I can't talk though, It's much better than any of my attempts Smile

Great stuff.

Rob.

Love the empty space, clarity spot on, donít like the inner frame itís distracting from such a great shot.

I like much the light on his head and the shadows that create.
The detail of the eyes seems to me beautiful, an expressive glance, and very clear and intense the color of eyes. Its a fantastic blue!
I like the colors and the contrast of the gray hair with the background.
Great work Smile

Really nice crisp image which is actually better viewed large. I can just make out the subjects collar, which i think works well, but agree with Rob in that I think a tiny shimmer of light would work well on the shoulders. Still an excellent shot you should be very pleased and proud of.
