Hi, sorry not been about much to vote or comment. My new job taking priority over the next few weeks..........
Set off early after having to scrape frost off car, heading to a place that makes me feel very calm, Glen Coe and Buachaille Etive Mor.....it was still dark as I pulled of the road at Black rock cottage. But as we all know the sun comes up fast, spent several hours here just watching the light change.

Thanks for the nice comments about my new job............hope you enjoy this one.

Paul.

Created by one man alone, and captured by you alone. A truly beautiful, and somewhat inspirational landscape. The stuff legends are made from.

Stunning landscape with glorious light.
There is a bit of halo along top if you intend to use image for
competition. May be due to over sharpening? This was suggested to me
in a recent upload where my image had halo.
The colours are rich and undulations in mountains catching
that wonderful light.

P.S. going to Glencoe very soon - is it easy to find Black Rock Cottage?

Beautiful light and shadows, Paul, and that rock is perfectly placed to balance the 'V' of the valley. Lovely work.

It's a superb spot to while away the hours, and all the more so when you come home with an image like this, Paul.
As you say the light can change by the minute.
Love the way you have sunlight dappling small areas mountain slopes, the rich winter colouring and the well chosen viewpoint to capture the f/g boulder which echoes the peaks beyond.
Very well composed landscape and one I'd have been so happy to capture.
Ronnie.
