Shot, During storm last night from my window.
I know the composition sucks and i didnt even get the ground in the shot but storm was brief i just stuck camera on tripod selected the smallest appeture i could and fired off a few shots..
Got lucky strike about 20ft from me..
Hope you enjoy and the loss of my soiled pants will be worth it...

D.

Great timing, seen this on the BBC website. I take you know that the good old beeb have worldwide rights to use sell and do what they want with that image.

Well spotted JJ..
I didnt know that actually. Its not a image with any commercial value. Taken much better pics but guess was kinda lucky with the timing on this. You dont get a close strike to often and its even rarer when the shutter is open... lol
Kinda chuffed they saw fit to use it..

Thanks for the kind comments

Timing is everything with this one. How many of us have tried and failed? I'm really impressed.
Like you D, commercial value isn't the most important thing is it but I hope they don't sell it without your consent. That would be a liberty.
