I just love mistakes... especially when they come out the way I would like them to have come out if I'd had the genius to think of doing it in the first place.
I think this is someone who walked across the frame as I shot one off in the Basilica in Assisi.
Maybe it was God himself who gave a helping hand.
Then again you might all think it's a load of rubbish and has no place on a site dedicated to photography.
Like it or leave it is what I say and I'm open to comments, good or bad!

I much prefer this to yesterday's. There I found the line of the banister very strong compositionally but somehow out of character with the atmosphere of the shot. This has undiluted atmosphere in bucketloads.
For me the effect is of a hand and face moving down and forward in a very purposeful, determined, maybe aggressive gesture.
Here's to accidents.

the colours & the way it all falls into place have a very calm effect of the viewer

Oh dear Sandy, I guess it's just more blurry and even more ghostlike....

Thank you Moira, I too prefer this to yesterday's upload, more free, loose and abstract.... yesterday's while interesting was static, the figure of the priest too rigid.
I want to go back and wait for a nun or two going up the stairs with those wings on their heads waffling around in the breeze.... should be much more interesting, a good contrast between their head dresses and the static background... we shall see.
