Cheers

Stunning shot Jennn, fabulous colour and dof, pin sharp too, just gorgeous.

Graceful, simple formality against a real green background. The light on the vase in particular is wonderful.
We came across a wonderful phrase the other day in Michael Freeman's book The photographer's eye. He talks about elaborate studio still life shots, that take days to set up and light. Then he talks about the opposite, still life taken out of doors using simple 'found' subjects, which he refers to as Guerrilla Still Life. I like that idea.

this is lovely, we had loads in a previous home of ours and since we moved I have tried in vain to grow them
Some fantastic images here Jenn. (Still maintaining the same high standards).
Hope you are feeling much better.

I mentioned to another member last year, that once you put a macro lens on your camera the need for other lenses seems to disappear, you seem to be in the same happy predicament.
Red is the rose that in yonder garden grows
Fair is the lily of the valley
Clear is the water that flows from the Boyne
But my love is fairer than any.
Come over the hills, my bonnie Irish lass
Come over the hills to your darling
You choose the rose, love, and I'll make the vow
And I'll be your true love forever.
