I was wondering if I should post this or not because it's a warts and all shot.Although it's a tourist hot spot Lindisfarne is still a workplace for some fishermen and the clutter of oil cans and yellow gas pipe rollers may look a bit of a clutter but I like the contrast between this sight and the Castle in the background.
Sorry it's another boat![]()

P.S.Apologies to those few kind folk who voted on my last upload,I should never have posted it,it's now gone to a better place(the bin) ![]()

It's even more stunning in the large version. I really like the stack of gear beside the vessel, like someone is making ready to sail. Doesn't seem like clutter to me, but rather gives the sense of anticipation I often feel when loading up for a trip. As always, beautiful color, superb depth, and flawless composition.
All the better for the clutter.
that for me is the real charm of the island.
Andy...
superb piece of work, love everything about this good work well done
Nowt wrong with it all boat yards are the same thats what mkes them interesting.
Great to see an image of someone everyday working clutter & well composed

At first sight, I thought, how does he make that clutter look so good? Then I read your description. The above comments would also suggest that it's more natural this way, and I agree.
Composition etc is fine ... its the processing that lets this down Im afraid. Theres a big halo with a soft edge around the boat .. the WB is off and the sky shows signs of too much burning or heavy curves adjustment.
Your images 'could' be very good IMHO but you need some work with the processing to really get the best out of them It would be interesting if you would post the original raw files so we could see a starting point too.
Thanks
Dan
