Seasons greetings to you all.

I recently begun shooting in RAW and am starting to get to grips with the basics.

Here's one of my better attempts at playing with the tones and colours etc

Raw is so versatile and not too difficult to learn, i love how you can totally transform
an image...so much more so than in photoshop alone. Cant believe i never thought of trying this before!

I've also included the original so you can see the difference.
Thanks to everone who took the time to comment and click on my recent uploads, much
appreciated Smile

Best wishes for christmas and the new year

Ricky

Excellent work in V1. RAW is worth the effort, particularly if you want to exploit light and all its wonderful tricks.

A lovely composed image. I'd say somewhere in the middle of these two would be perfect. Great image.............Sandy

You have got to shoot Raw especially if you are going to do much work in ps otherwise you lose to much detail .Good to see the before and after .

All the best to you too Ricky, agree with Sandy re getting the tonal balance between these too the purple foreground say you have pushed a little too far
