We were spell-bound watching two males returning to the family one morning a few years ago and this lioness was keeping careful watch. (This one is for Steve who has been so very kind about my African images.)

Many thanks for all the C&Cs recently.

PS. I liked the dark green surround but have changed it to black for Lillian!

Nicely captured in the natural setting Ju
it is the bright green around the image that
distracts from a beautifully timed shot

2005 - time for another visit, Ju? Smile
Lionesses (who do most of the hunting) blend very well with tall, yellow-topped grass.
Sometimes, it's difficult to spot them in such an environment.
You did well to do so and were quite close (57mm f/l), so would have been an enchanting moment for you.
