Whilst in Prats de Mollo, I came across this group of musicians playing as the locals danced the Sardane in the square. An extremely cold day saw them muffed up for the cold but managing to keep the square alive. As this guy was a bit of a character with small drum and woolly hat, I managed to get him looking slightly bored and daydreaming of life in a cosy bar (I think!).

I can see what attracted you to this!

It's a shame you couldn't have caught him from slightly further back to include his hand and the rest of his hat.
Also there are a lot of distractions and the guy's black jacket behind him doesn't help.
I've uploaded a mod. which is quite different, very quick and very rough but I hope you'll get the idea!

Bren.

A very good candid shot and well timed.

Its a pity hes moving his head but you can apply selective sharpening to the head to resolve this.

Other than that, it may look better if hes not central, and cropping some space from the left achieves this, while retaining the essence of the part he plays in the band.

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

Willie

Thanks guys. It was the look in his eyes that attracted me to the photo and you are correct in applying a crop. Both look better.

I like this a lot, but your composition lets you down. He does need to be on the left - he is looking right, and should not be central.

Well seen.

Paul
