Little Grebe ( aka Dabchick) (tachybaptus ruficollis)
Caught this little devil yesterday in the process of catching his meal. He had quite a tussle with it before getting it in just the right position and managing to swallow it.
Most grateful and appreciative thanks for the very generous c/c's on the Stonechat.

looks like he is enjoying a good healthy dinner. Excellent detail and perfect timing.
A superb capture for both you and the bird Ron, this is a lovely nature shot and one that i've thoroughly enjoyed viewing
Initially I thought he was a bird with a lovely curved beak ![]()
