Growing in my garden, planted by "the birds"---- this one is only about 18 inches tall--- more will follow someday of the 10 feet tall variety.
It seems the birds have done so--- eating the buds, leaves and stems even before the seeds happen--- think it is the cardinals who have been seen lurking around this garden patch!
Straight out of 'Bill and Ben, The Flowerpot Men', but I guess you may have to google that, Jennn.
A well detailed close up Jenn.
And as I do not go to church,
I have no Cardinals lurking about my garden !!
Cracking shot it hits you in the eye Evan as a thumb nail.
funny Mick-----where I go to church you just might see a cardinal!
Looks like a very large one to me
Very appropriate for today, great POV; the colour really pops and of course the bokeh is brilliant.
For those not watching Wimbledon............. Murray is looking good!
A beauty Jenn,
great stuff .... birds and all
Beautifully taken bright image.
Pin sharp and full of great colour and detail.
Bold and beautiful, Jenn.
Lovely Macro Image ~
Very sunny, Jenn, and the small ones are just as beautiful as the bigger ones.
Little sun flower big capture, crisp and bright with a lovely splash of yellow.
Beautiful image, fabulous colour and detail
Beautiful colour and detail
The most cheerful of flowers, hence the reason I use one for my Awards!
Nice summery image.
That is just awesome....love it.
Voted earlier but had no time to comment: a wonderful shot of this summery sunflower, Jenn.
Terrific shot Jennn. Full of colour and detail.:
'Our' birds have also planted a lot of sunflower, but even more wheat from the grease balls. You'd think they are telling me something about grain!
Bright, Cheerful and simply beautiful.
Only one and a half feet tall! So sweet
Lovely light on this beauty, Jennnn, and a wonderful close-up view of it.
I love it when things come up unexpectedly. This year I found some campion that I hadn't planted. We always have a good crop of Black-eyed Susans that appear here and there.
My birds would love this Jennn
a wonderful shot
I've got some of these coming up in my back yard - yes, most likely planted by those birds.
A very sharp photo, Jenn, and full of rich colours
So well shot. Just gorgeous!
Perfect comp. and that Tamron produces a wonderful bokeh.
What a gorgeous specimen, so cheerful and colourful
