Here's another nice example of extreme architectural design in the Netherlands: the so-called "bolwoningen" (spherical homes) in 's-Hertogenbosch (try to pronounce that, if you can!).
They were built in a period (1981-1990) when experimental living projects were subsidized by the Dutch government. You may have seen my cube houses shots - these houses were another result of these experimental living ideas.
They have a very small footprint, which made it possible to have a lot of detached homes on a small piece of land. They're for singles, couples and small families, with two bedrooms in the lower half of the sphere, a bathroom, kitchen and living room in the top half.
Hope you like them - oh, and if you want to see them up close, come back tomorrow!
