I know these shots of silky milky are a 'love 'em, hate 'em ' sort of thing so I won't expect a great reception. This is a wider view of my previous upload. Grateful for your time and feedback.
just beautiful. christine
works for me Alun good comp and colours.
Very, very nice Alun.
Well I love silky water images, you are excellent at it, another great capture
The milkiness is fine - it's jsut one of several ways to shoot water.
For me, the only downside is that the sharpening seems quite aggressive... I'd expect that there would be sufficient quality in a full-frame shot that there's no real need for working on it in PS, and a less-hard-edged result would have a more cosistent feel across the image.
well I am in the " Love em " class
I feel I almost need to duck to avoid getting soaked: excellent POV, Alun.
Another piece of Alun magic
I prefer this one Alun the composition is excellent
Many thanks, my friends. All thoughts and comments welcome so thanks John for your feedback. I wanted the sharp detail to contrast with the soft water flow and applied a subtle Orton effect via a blurred and multiplied layer which may make you feel it's over-processed. Sometimes it's hard to know when to stop although shooting in Raw makes pp a necessity and an aspect of the whole process that I've grown to enjoy over the years.
Really great shot, the water flow is excellent and the colours are my type of colours. I personally have a tendency to go really sharp and have to pull back a touch but I have to say I love the detail in the moss and grasses in this image.
Recognize that lovely green mossy rock. Beautiful image.
Wonderful shot. I am one if the 'love ems '. Cathy
Thanks John, Sandy and Cathy. Waterfall season is approaching so look out
Fantastic and great image, very well done,
Wonderfull colours around your glacier? Stream. Looks like a wet and slippery setup but the result is terrific.
Water flowing to within an inch of the top of my wellies, Annette and no room to move without a fall into the next plunge pool below. Not cold at all though
Cracking image Alun.... been a while since I ventured up that way.
I know what you mean Alun, in this instance the smooth flow breaks up the textured banksides and rocky landscape, it also balances nicely with the sky.
Thanks Alan and Ian for your feedback
Alun, super colours and exposure all the way from start to finish..............
