This loch is quite a sight being green.
Not sure of reasons. My daughters did a charity walk on
Saturday night/Sunday morning walking over 45 miles
and came across this in early morning shrouded in mist.
This is daytime!
It is also called the Fairy Loch.
V2 another view.
V3 my daughters Kerry (the redhead) Clare (the blonde)
Thank you for votes for Loch an Eilein and for advice to remove the twigs.
Kate

Lovely to see this beautiful lochan in the Cairngorms - last saw it over 50 years ago, & was struck by the beautiful water colour then, as we came down off the hill.
Regards
Malcolm

A beautiful and peaceful scene Kate. You have captured this well. You have two beautiful daughters who are to be commended for their charity walk. 45 miles is no mean feat

Well done to the girls walking 45 miles Kate.
I did a charity walk when I was ''young and fit''.
It was only 15 miles, but it took me about a week to recover from it !!
Good set.
Mick.

I got called to the 'phone and forgot to comment after 'clicking', Kate.
The loch, particularly in V 1, has an almost surreal appearance: I wonder what causes that green colour, possibly algae of some type or even some mineral that gets washed into it's waters.
Two fine images of the loch and of course so nice to include V 3 with your two lovely daughters.
Ronnie.
