Loch Cuithir, one of three small lochs nestled beneath the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye. Ben Edre is in the distance but is enshrouded by the low lying cloud.
If you squint and stand on one leg, and look real close, you may see my pal Petra with her dog walking back from one of the smaller lochans we had also been photographing
Love the light
Wow Jeanie this is fantastic what a cracking image, perfect light , fantastic...John
A very original landscape from a well chosen viewpoint, capturing the grasses on the lochan's edge for f/g interest: the heavy cloud streaming over the ridge contrasts well with the sunlit lower slopes.
Pity your eye gets dragged to the person and dog otherwise an goodie Jeanine LOL
Yes an impressive image
Thank you Alan, John, Ronnie and Les..

Colleen... yes there she is .. with Haggis her dog.
What wonderful light on this beautiful scene.
Jeanie another magnificent image!
You certainly were blessed with beautiful light. Lovely composition.
That's a nice walk up the road here and then back, but worth it when you see Ben Edra.
The only time I photographed this mountain was in summer and it looked like it was made from green velvet.
Well presented in good light the colours are fantastic .
Thank you Kate, Mark, Jude, Dougie and John.
I understand the Police are looking for the missing pylons from here, apparently they think the person had a Blackpool accent.
hehe.. there were no pylons here... now the other lochan further north beyond the Quiraing...... well... what can I say...
