...with apologies to Tina Turner. The spring tides had washed the pebbles and shells to a sparkling shine and the reflection of Bla Bheinn was clear as a bell in the crystal water of Loch Slapin on Skye.

Loch clean and clear too. The detail of the snow cap is if anything clearer in the reflection than in the original, enhanced by the wonderful water no doubt. Lovely image.

The progression up and down the frame is amazing, two totally different areas of reality sandwiching the reflections.

Usign the polariser to show the loch bottom leads you into the reflected hills beautifully and adds extra interest while allowing you to crop the empty sky. Very effective comp.

Well Thank you very much indeed Moira, you've made that day special.
I followed this image with a drive up to the north of Skye and found the red roofed Granny Flat, the Jetty at Stein and came back to Elgol for the smoke across the Cuillin at Sunset.
Days like that are few and far between.

Thanks Again
Dougie

A beautiful photograph from start to finish, the extra special foreground running deep into the heart of the image is simply superb. Crystal clear waters made that little more attractive by the beautiful light conditions , whilst at the same time the 70/30 format works incredibly well.

"A top notch photograph from a top notch photographer"..
