...The fog was all gone from a half hour earlier, the sun was shining and a blue sky appeared over the Loch, I could never have guessed a boat would be sitting here with the mountain behind.

Another fine shot from Loch Leven, Dougie: we have seen a few from this area recently.
The boat could not have been better placed for you once the fog lifted, although I expect it's placement in the scene is more likely to be due to your good self.
Ronnie.
Those blueish cloud shadows over the different slopes do it every time for me, they add structure and contours. Idyllic.

Yes Al it looks as if that's just what it is. I did a trawl of the site after Ronnie's comment and found a couple of shots with the boat in.
Looks quite blissful, Dougie. Those reflections are delightful.
Regards
Bill
Exquisite winter light Dougie, green is an interesting and different colour for a boat!
Ron left me while we were having dinner overlooking the Pap to rush out and take photos of the mini alpine glow some years ago!!

What a wonderful image
Am surprised about the colour of the boat ...all sailors avoid green with a vengence
supposed to bring bad luck!!!
Quote: Beautiful Dougie, perfect low winter sun and the light picking up the Pap of Glencoe is lovely.

I hadn't read the included comment but was thinking exactly the same then read the one already posted and thought "I can't say better than this" so there you go Dougie I love it ![]()
Beautiful Dougie love the little green boat sitting so still in it lovely suroundings.

A lovely image of this historic Loch ! Always feel so sad when I think of Q. Mary locked up on the island. On the tourist information board at the loch side it state the key to the castle was lost . I visited Walter Scott's Abbotsford House and guess what the key is displayed among his collection!

Awwwww, this is again one of those getting me homesick! The boat, in line with the Pap, the wonderful blue sky reflecting in the loch, the beautiful light on the hills... ache, ache, ache...
