This is Loch Slapin which is on route to Elgol, often the main photographic destination for visitors to Skye.

Wall to wall sunlight and no wind. I couldn't resist the reflection in the loch.

I have uploaded a slightly lighter version(version 2) Depending on your monitor I may have overdone the lightness of the loch.
Version 3 should recitfy the fg problem without making the image too bright

Such crisp light, gives it a very cold feel!

Like the details and reflection in this - well captured. Great bonus to have no wind.

Attractive image and a great reflection. Version 2 is better as we can see more f/g interest.

Excellent image.

Technically the second version is too light on the bottom now, the top should always be lighter than the reflection. You could have the fg interest in the water lighter without lightening all of the bottom half of the frame.
By the way it's a great image of this Loch I know so well Phil, great simple sky. The red boat is a beautiful touch of colour.

All the very best
Dougie

lets see version 3...

Another good one, Phil. Number 2 looks fine on my monitor (here at work). I love the splash of red in a mostly blue image - it really zings.

Tremendous, I wish it was always so easy. A bit more colour as well.

Number three for me. The tones are by far more balanced in this versions thus addinto the composition. I agree with doug about version 2, and version 1 has lost fore ground interest as a consequence of the tones.

That said, any way you look at it - its a cracker!

Rgds,

Adam

All good but I actually like version 1 best as I think the simple clean foreground helps you to be drawn into the distant mountains.

Great work
