View south across Loch Tulla towards Glenorchy: the Water of Tulla flows into the Loch on the left and Beinn Inverveigh lies to the right.
{Another image from my 'archive', this time taken on the way home from Skye where it rained all the time, and all the way home until just after leaving Rannoch Moor........and I was hesitant about this one as (a) it was a quick snatch shot when the sun blinked through, and (b) other photographers have covered this area so much better than I have been able to do}

My thanks to all who contributed to the success of Magnolia.

Ronnie.

No need for trepidation with a fine shot such as this Ronnie, in my experience it's much truer to the locale than are lovely sunny ones!

One of the great Lochs of this area and you found some nice light after a monotonous drive from Skye, but at least you did get the light here. I had always reckoned that the Loch emptied across Rannoch Moor, forgetting that I regularly pass a fairly fast flowing river going west towards Glen Orchy, and onwards to Loch Awe. I must have a blind spot here always wishing to be beyond the corner and seeing the famous sign up the road about fires and trees that never return after being burned.
Many thanks for the correct information which fixes a mistake in my head I've carried for some years now.

Dougie

A beautiful capture, Ronnie, I don't know why you were hesitant in uploading it, it's beautiful Smile Love how the cloud's rolling down the mountainside on the left. When I went to Skye way back in 1986 it rained all the time, too! Sad But the scenery was gorgeous and would love to go back Wink
