The sort of landscapes I tend to take do benefit sometimes, I think, from the presence of a figure, and here Mrs. RonnieAG and her orange coat fit the bill nicely.
She is making her way down from the top of Craigie Fort (by Balmaha on Loch Lomond) and the islands in the scene are Inchcailloch (large) and Criaginsh (small).

My thanks to all who commented on Swans at Sunset, and special thanks to Jenn {taggart} for her User Award.

Ronnie.

Super image Ronnie, like the inclusion of your wife, when my late wife came out with me we always carried something red in the car for her to wear,

The presence of Mrs.RonnieAG is the icing on the cake of this magnificent scene Ronnie, my wife tends to avoid going with me when she knows my mission is primarily picture taking, says it just spoils a good walk! Sad

Nicely framed by the trees and the 'missus' ambling down the lead-in path into the scene, and a useful channel around the islet towards the hills. A well thought out composition, Ronnie.

All the elements of a good composition are present in the wider scene and as others have said, the inclusion of MrsRonnieAG in her orange coat lifts the colour and adds scale. The direction of her travel enhances the lead in of the path.
