My search for the perfect lone tree continues. Here's one, complete with a few crop circles, from a field near Oundle.
Thanks for looking.

Lovely image, very nice presentation,
Glad someone else is also searching for that perfect lone tree!
Really like the lines/textures.
Spot on presentation.
A simple and very effective piece Dave, where are all the 'holiday snaps' though?
Great idea, works well.
Excellent treatment and presentation works really well.
Excellent triptych David. Ron.
Superb composition - where's the spaceship - next shot?
Well composed, I like the presentation.
over the hills and far away... lovely shot well presented
Splendid tryptich. Like the sloping horizon and crop lines.
Clever title Dave, and it never ceases to amaze me how splitting a pic up into three pieces more often than not gives a result that adds up to more than the sum of it's constituent parts.
This may not be the perfect lone tree but I have an inkling that such a specimen only exists in the imagination of sad photographers and ageing lyricists.
Alternative title "Tree-ptych"
I agree with DaveU - This triptych works in a way that the whole image probably would not have.
Obviously thats why you presented it this way.
great lines, textures and colours..love it when you splitting a picture......great as always
This works a treat Dave, really like the presentation - well done!
Good presentation David. It works very well.
works very well, cheers
pm me on how u do the image like that, absolutely love it
This is a lovely light, bright image and the triptych treatment suits it very well.
Works wonderfully as a triptych, but I'm wondering if it might be fun to swap the order around too... Not sure if it would work, just an idea.
Looks "perfect" enough for me David. Love it.
Stunning tryptch..... great colours and love that tree.
Excellent treatment of a beautiful landscape.
Gorgeous scene, and perfect for this treatement.
The presentation works really well - much more impact than a single image. John
