Many thanks to all of you who C&C'd my last upload, especially to HarrietH, EileenH and rsjkinson for their very much appreciated user awards.

This weekend I found this rather handsome chap trying to hide out in the middle of a thicket. He was enjoying the sunshine on a very blustery day, and mostly had his eyes shut, but every now and then he would open them, revealing the most amazing coloured eyes I've ever seen. Excuse all the branches in front of him, but I didn't want to disturb him too much so had to keep my distance.

Such a great find, and such a great capture. The eyes standing out like car headlamps on a winters day.

Excellent shot and well spotted Alex, as it is so well camouflaged with only its intense eye colour giving it away.
