A long-horn highland cow, on baslow edge in the peak district.
Despite the dangerous looking horns they're actually quite friendly (i guess given the number of walkers around there they're quite used to humans now).

Got *loads* of photo of them - so photogenic!

Excellent shot nice foreground dramatic sky and the pose of the cow looks like he is coming out of the shot very nice capture
neil

This is beautiful. I like the low viewpoint and the way you have handled the exposure with detail in the sky as well as the foreground.

Phil.

Great sky, great image!

This is one of the best---love the natural inviroment--heather and a grey sky.
We so often see them in green fields with a good sky .
Very well composed i`d be happy if this was mine!

There have been a few of these lately - this is a good 'un. Love the expression, eyes cast heavenwards, 'Oh God it's another EPZ member...'

Very nice. The colours from the cow and the heather contrast nicely together and I like the fact it's looking straight at you

Cheers for the comments and votes, i'm really pleased with how this one came out, at the time i was a bit gutted there wasn't much sun given the weather forecast had been for blue skies, but i think it worked in the shots favour anyway Smile

Would have liked some shots of the bull that was there too - great big ugly brute, but he didn't look like he was in the mood for photographs, what with him head-butting a tree for fun, so steered well clear!
