Hope you like these images of Mr Swan flying towards me and do look at the dog's expression as Mr Swan takes off. It was very exciiting to watch.

Have a great weekend, I'm full of cold and feel pretty grotty so I shall be having a quiet weekend.

Sue

Undercarriage down!
Great fun, they are so much less graceful at this stage than once they have landed.
V1 is beautifully composed, the dog adds a lot. Your program setting has given you 1/60 second which was rather too slow for this though. I think your camera gives the option of shutter speed priority - for birds gliding in towards you, try maybe 1/500. Alternatively, if you cannot set a shutter speed, have a look and see if you have a Sports mode setting, which would give a much faster shutter speed.

What do persistent waves back! Have somehow missed the flight lessons?
I like how a little duck scares (think duck does not like!) successively quickly press 9-10-9-10 ... and you will see that can fly!

Great set of images and the you can just imagine the temptation the dog must have to go after it. Agree with Moira though, shame the shutter speed was a little quicker but I guess you didn't have time to set.

Darren

Very wise of the small dark bird to get the hell out of the way with that jumbo jet of the bird world bearing down on it!
Marvellous sequence, Sue.
