Taken on the old steps of Whitby.
Have a good weekend.
A scene oft shot, but its the little details in this that make it for me, the figure in the lit window, the figures in the open doorway, the reflection of the lamp in the attic window.... Lots of detail when viewed large.
Looks like there is interaction between the two people..tops the image
Nice composition, lead-in, lighting & mood.
Is there a warning anywhere about attempting those stairs after a few pints?
. . seen a lot of the Whitby stuff . . looks like you had a goon w/shop . . and a good bunch od students LOL . . .
. . hope to get some time to join in again next year . . . top shot!
lovely colours, and a well taken low-light picture
Thanks guys off out catch you later.
Good composition and lead in, and perfect capture of the light as always!
Thought this was a bit boring when I viewed the small version. Opened it large, saw the people, and it came alive.
A real warmth to this image.Whitby what a fab place and those steps! Really like the chap to the left looking out of his window and the viewpoint, which leads you right down and around.
brilliant!!!so much thats fantastic about it - and those guys in such strategic position in the pic......
Lovely exposure, fabulous sense of perspective, top class.
Yipeee get to be 30 ))))
Wonderful colours and light Andy have a great weekend.
Thanks in for 5 mins
then out again
the figures are a blast
Beautiful exposure Andy.
What a great British scene.
Yup, like it. Have a good weekend too.
He's warning his neighbours to keep their clothes on in the bedrooms
Like the discreet figures Andy and the overall lighting, not to mention the composition
Looks like a film set. The three warm glows make a script. Add to this the actors who unknowingly wandered onto set. Photojounalism supreme. Ron.
Has been there, but never saw it this beautiful.
Thank you apreciated...
A click for the look out! Well seen, great title.
Brilliant a much photographed scene but not quite like this very original and very very Good.
Great exposure on an original take. Love the apparent interaction between the guy in the window and the guy in the lamp light. Makes all the difference....
Love it; great light and composition, plus story/drama possibilities.
Fantastic imagery Andy....love it.
This is such a good shot of a place that I know really well. I've been at this position on the steps several times before and never been able to "see the shot". But now you've shown me! Excellent work.
Hi Andy .. great shot, lots of detail, great placement of light .. Dan
Beautiful shot Andy and the two people "looking out" add a lot of human interest to it. John
So I guess you have to sneak in before the guy in the upper left warns them all. This is a very unusual perspective and I like it because it lets me see what it really is like there. Real life. Nice profile shot too. You're looking um... really good.....lol...
Excellent lighting by the lamp post! A superb composition!
A lesson in lighting Andy
A very pleasing scene to the eye, good lighting, interesting character in window and below the steet lamp.
Has a really nice feel to it, love the figure at the window, looks like he's talking to the person at the door....brilliant work.
