The Aurura took us by surprise, was (seemingly) directly overhead and coming in fast.
I had in my hands a D300s with 10.5mm fisheye, so I dropped to the floor of the narrow footbridge we were on, and took this shot while laying on my back with the tripod straddling me!
It was a five second exposure at f2.8 and ISO 1600.
It's a little noisier than I would have liked, but considering the circumstances I'm quite pleased with the way it's turned out.
I think the group of people huddled around a small light adds some human context/content, but my favourite part of the shot is how the Aurora has almost formed a complete loop around the shot.
