Well observed and captured candid shot of the happy couple: and is that a spare pair of shoes he's carrying for her.......just in case she breaks off a heel?

Thank you, Ronnie! She must have been carrying those flat shoes in her bag to change with the high heels when tired. As they were walking on the macadamised street at the time, she must have changed them for fear of breaking a heel, as you say.

Is it ever-so slightly possible that they are not lovers? Do we know?

Of course it is possible. At least, I don't know, and I can never know. However, it's my title and it might be one of the many possibilities.Wink

Well, quite so, quite so. They could, for example be Venusians, who happens to have a quaint custom of carrying each others shoes around!Wink

Or, of course, they could be brother and sister.

And on a techy point... which I know people here hate... 1/80sec probably isn't enough juice to freeze action like this. Their bodies look slightly blurred, yet the car number plates are sharp as a Sabatier. Motion blur?

Good technical point. Thank you! It wasn't a relaxed shot, of course.

The title for an image usually flashes through my mind as I take the shot. It's something intuitive, it's about what one was experiencing at that moment. Does anything else matter?

does everything need to look sharp to be a good picture, to evoke sensation or emotion?
