nice image ~ I would have like to have seen her nails natural, for me her nails distract from the feel of this image ~ have you tried this in B&W just a thought ~ paddy

Like the composition would also like to see a black and white version out of interest as to whether it works as well,

Really like the relationship between the couple, and the angle of the guy's head .. however just two tiny very picky-picky things .. one is the woman's hands which to me feel a little too 'posed'.. and the other is that splash of white on her shoulder . tends to distract the (my?) eye ..

Overall a beautiful image, and you raise an important point - whether love is colour blind or if in fact love takes on the issues of colour as one's own ..

I agree with Night Nurse and SuziBlue's comments on the nail varnish and white splash. It's still one of my favourite photos to be uploaded to ePHOTOzine though!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Im going to try a black and white version. If you see it let me know what you think. This was one of the few color photos that I have taken. I mostly enjoy black and white.

I prefer this version over the sepia one you've now submitted. I agree with Suzi about the white over the girl's arm, but overall I think it has superb tones and is very well composed. Highly worth of photo of the week.

Nice photograph - with great sentiment.

Would love to see this in black & white - which I think would make it even more symbolic.

Excellent stuff.

Love the composition, the feel and the tones, although the sentiment and it's execution is perhaps a bit too cliche for me (it reminds me of the Bennetton ads). For me the nails are too perfect and I personally would prefer them unpainted. Is it just me or is there something a bit sinister about them? I keep thinking she's going to claw them down his back. LOL. Great image though.

Just another quick comment about the 'pose' of the hands ... and about the cliche that Iain mentions .. I wonder whether it would seem more loving if the hands and arms were seen to be hugging or holding the guy as opposed to 'gently holding' - it doesn't feel definite enough somehow. I think if the connection between them was closer and warmer it would lose that sense of cliche. Just me 2p worth Grin

A potentially meaningful pic but I have to agree about the 'posed' hands and the too-beautiful manicure. She should look as if she's grabbing him and not wanting to let go!! Also clone out the white strap.

Otherwise very good. LOL at Iain about the Benetton aspect!! :o)

Beautiful contrast between the Brown and White skin. Good composition but would have preferred to have the elbow included. Male skin tones excellent but the female hands a little too light and in my opinion a pale pink nail varnish may have been better. The white strap should also be removed. Overall a very eye catching picture
