Taken at Low Millerground on the footpath from Hayrigg Road to Bowness, down to the shore of Windermere. Tried a few shots with a few seconds exposure. This was possible due to the relatively dark shade within the wooded surroundings.
I tried to get longer exposures to try and get a more smoky feel to the water, but they tended to be blown out. I guess to get a longer shot, I need to invest in some ND filters?
I would appreciate critique / comment and any ideas for improvements as I'm always wanting to learn. Self taught so far.

Lovely composition, an ND filter, tripod and cable release would have cracked it.
