Last Wednesday I took Lucie for a walk in beautiful weather, but that lasted only 10 minutes when a purple sky came sailing in with rain and hail. Before it actually came down there was a spectacular rainbow. I also managed to capture the complete arc by merging two shots in PS, but I like this one better composition wise.
If you like I can upload the complete arc tomorrow morning.

I'm not altogether certain that the complete arc would have more impact, Rende; beside which I imagine Lucie would be diminished in the frame, which I'm sure she would not appreciate!
A real crock-of-gold image, or rather band-of-gold as the narrow strip of light stretches right across the frame. Superb composition.
Regards
Bill

I spotted Lucie almost before the rainbow. Lovely mellow golden tones running right through the frame, this has hints of an Old Master oil painting in style.

A great shot of the rainbow and of Lucy, as Bill rightly says Lucy would be lost in the full image. - gary

Beautiful !
I can see a hint of a double bow too.
