A shot not to be missed!

Nice execution in black and white.

I like the fact that you included so much of her elderly guardian, especially the hand over Lucy's head. There is a strong contrast of size, age, colour and patterns.

The background is almost unobstructing and uniform. The strong horizontal white lane alarms the spectator, is Lucy sat on a road? The gesture of her guardian does not have a sense of rushing to take her out of there. Although as a concept it exaggerates Lucy's childish unawareness of the adult world aesthetically it should be removed, to my humble opinion. Despite that, it gets my vote.

I think the white line belongs 'cos it's part of the environment of the moment. Just my take. It doesn't mess with any important lines, anyway.

This is such a tender moment. From two points. One, it is a moment and age where something like confetti is a thing of delight. Two, the lady is patiently waiting for the girl to enjoy her moment and not impatiently pulling her away.

Beautifully captured in black and white, Jo. This sorta shot is what photography is all about.

Lovely contrasts and juxtapositions already mentioned. It's a charming shot of this moment and perfect in mono.
