Tonight (Saturday 19th March 2011), the moon will be at it's closest to earth than it has been for 18 years and will appear a lot larger.
This lunar perigee is not to be missed !
Unfortunately, I am working but did manage to capture this last night using my new toy - a 120mm ED Refractor telescope at prime focus. I cannot wait to get a power supply for the mount and some adapter rings for the eyepieces ![]()
