This picture is of the Lund Cathedral. Lund is a mid-size city near the southern tip of Sweden, and home to such companies as Sony-Ericsson & Ericsson. The construction of this Cathedral began in 1103; its high altar was consecrated in 1145. This picture was taken at about 6:00 PM local time, on 18 Feb 08 (official sunset was at about 5:20 PM). Even though, I was on the other side of the street, my shortest lens did not have a wide enough angle. I had to tilt the camera up, resulting in a 'fall over' effect.
A local taxi driver told me the city tried to clean the lower half of the church, of all the black residue due to car exhaust. The cleaning project had to stop when a rare 'plant' was discovered living on the stone of the church.
