A bit of a risky upload this evening.

Whilst we were away for a few days in Devon, we visited the National Trust maintained Lydford Gorge.
The light deep in the gorge was lovely at this particular strecth of the river Lyd, and I liked the composition of the bridge over the river.

I was stood balanced quite awkwardly on a couple of rocks in the river taking this shot, and wished I had my wellies rather than my walking boots on, as if I had I could have just moved that branch!!.

Interested to read your thoughts on this shot.

The wonderful light really brings out the Autumn colours. Love the composition too with the bridge placed nicely in the frame.

LOve the light and tones in this very well composed /exposed scene, with great colour as well . See what you mean re the risk, would have been a bigger risk wading in to remove the branch.
Although I don't get the quality of image that you have in this landscape ( wish I could ) for me that branch seems to be keeping me out of the scene and keeps drawing my eye away from the rest of the beauty there. Just my humble opinion .Still love the quality of the work.
Regards Mary

I love your composition here, and the light quality and colours are superb. I myself do not find the branch in question to be a problem and there is nothing in this image that I would change. A lovely limited landscape from a delightful spot.

I think my Uncle Adie is away with the fairies, everyone in the West Country knows that pixies come from Cornwall!
