A bit of fun for the weekend....
I was out walking today trying to get out of the office at lunch, and I must have seen six trees that were perfectly gorgeous and in full blown autumn colour. I purposely didn't take my camera as I really need the exercise right now as I've been chained to my desk.
So I started collecting some pretty leaves. And then some more. And then some more. I was thinking I could do a nice little shot of some leaves together showing the different colours. Eh. That's been done before... many times.
Then it struck me that I could show the colours in an image through the spectrum of change. Hmmm. So I gathered all sorts of shades and walked home.
Then I thought of this idea... showing a magic calendar that has leaves as the picture, but the picture becomes real.
I shot this with the leaves and without, then did some Photoshoppery to come to the final result. Wouldn't you love to have a calendar like this? The kids would be gobsmacked ![]()
I would love to hear what you think of it. And a huge thankyou for all the support and interest in my work recently!
Have a wonderful, fun-packed, and safe weekend.
Best Regards, Martin

That was one very inspirational walk you had Martin, the end result is brilliant, good idea and well put together.
Enjoy your weekend.
Ian
it's great Martin, a very clever idea that worked really well,
Chris.
Thanks to everyone who has stopped by and commented. I'm glad you like the piece. It was a lot of fun putting it together except I made the rookie mistake of shooting the calendar with the leaves first. As I was removing the leaves, without thinking I moved the calendar from it's position. It wasn't until I started to shoot the calendar on it's own that I realized. I was kicking myself because I then had extra photoshop work to do. Oh well!
Cheers and thanks to everyone, Martin
A cracking shot and exactly the type of image photoshop was designed for. Nice to see it being used properly ... ![]()
