"Worker and Peasant" -
outstanding monumental art, "an ideal and a symbol of the Soviet era, is a dynamic sculptural group of two figures with outstretched over the heads with a sickle and hammer. Conceptual design of sculpture belonged to the architect BM Iofanu, won a tender for the construction of the pavilion. They heaved the emblem of the Soviet Union - hammer and sickle. The sculpture was installed on a new specially built for her pavilion-pedestal November 28, 2009 with a special crane. Inauguration of the monument took place in Moscow on December 4, 2009. The pedestal on which the sculpture is placed at 10 meters higher than the previous. In the pavilion, the pedestal will house an exhibition hall and museum of Vera Mukhina. Dismantling, storage and restoration of the legendary sculpture cost the budget of 2,9 billion rubles.
