Making Tracks

Well, HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Long time, no speak - and the start of a brand new year!

To cut a long story shot (well, relatively so - you know me!) I decided to take the plunge and invest my inheritance in a super duper new box of tricks and my 5D mkii arrived yesterday!!! YAY!!!
(Seemed to make sense as Dad bought me my first ever DSLR, too) - - Thanks Dad x

So, I was VERY well up for an outing, and even MrS's suggestion that we tackled Heswall was insufficient to dampen the spirits

(I hate that place with a passion - I always imagine myself sinking into the murk without a trace - - perhaps that's why MrS is so keen to take me there!!)

Anyway, we arrived, waterproofed and wellied up and set off across the mire to the boats. I actually realised how much fun I have when I get out with the said image recorder.

I also discovered that if you actually ran (or in my case, lumbered) across the gloop, there was less chance of becoming a permanent feature! Finally, if you don't stay in the same position whilst setting up a shot, that improves your chances of getting home too!! I'm just really glad that there wasn't anyone else there to witness me hopping from foot to foot - I'm sure I must've looked like I needed a comfort break

So - - to the shot - - there are lots of tracks in the mud - - think they were plover - certainly heard what I thought was one on several occasions, and the moon stayed out for a bit to play too.

Hope you like, promise to try to get out more this year, so you may have to put up with me on a much more regular basis!!!
