this is the same male as previous but this time it missed ,Something i have noticed is that after the kingfisher has missed the fish underwater ,it gets a beak full of water ,in this picture you see the water being expelled out of his beak,on checking closeups of this bird it has a channel running down the inside of its beak so when the beak is closed it can push water out off the aperture at the end of its beak .
