Beautiful image of a very handsome dog. I wish my dogs would sit in the same room as my camera, never mind in front of it, they are big Ridgebacks and don't tell anyone because we like to call them guard dogs but they are scared of their own shadows but two other things scare them even more that and that is not being fed on time and my camera's. So when I see an image like this I do get jealous because really all i want is to take a fab picture of them to keep when they are not longer around. Sad really isn't it. Sad

well taken but perhaps try and adopt the same principle as when photographing the big cats - try and avoid backgrounds that can draw the attention. here the processing has reduced the clarity of the background but there are grey, brown, green areas as well as the lighter one behind the head, i think one colour even if a shed for instance will distract less

alternatively cheat and used a texture layer to hit stuff
