I spotted this freshly emerged male Marbled White Butterfly (Melanargia galathea) on Collard Hill yesterday afternoon. The strong winds were buffeting it continuously with sometimes the whole grass stem rotating by 180° along its long access. Catching a sharp image was quite a challenge! The Large Blues are still out in good numbers.

Fantastic detail, and to capture that in such windy conditions is a credit to you. Neil.
