This is a castle in Margam Park West Glamorgan built by the Talbot Family, Port Talbot was named after them, their relation is part of the reason why we are all on this site today, he was William Fox Talbot! He invented first the paper negative that required an hour exposure, but then went on to invent the Celotype Process the forerunner of the negative, this only required a three Min exposure, he visited this castle on several occasions, he lived at Lacock Abbey, now used to film Harry Potter>

This really is a special one
Just lovely and thanks for the write up
There is a strange story behind this print! After I decided to go digital I went on a Council run Digital course to try to get to grips with Photoshop, at the end of the course we were asked to submit a photograph from the course work for an exhibition, I put this photo in and on the day of the exhibition my Wife and I went to view, to my surprise there was a first prize sticker on the print, only dressed in tracksuit bottom and tee shirt I had my photo taken with the Mayoress for the newspapers, I did not know it was a competition! I won a course for the next classes worth £300.00 and a Presentation meal.
Lovely shot. Love the reflections in the water and the light on the castle makes it look really magical. Great story behind the photo too. Congratulations on winning the competition! Very well deserved with a photo like this.
Thanks for your observation on IOM yacht racing. I've put a reply there.

I really like this composition, I find it very moody, mystic and deep. The way you have captured the content of the picture is very harmonious.
