Marmaglow

I made marmalade for the first time today I had to soak the orange peel in juice and water overnight and thought I'd try taking a few photos

I was positioning my lamp to try and make my photos more interesting when I noticed that it shone right through the oranges. So for this shot, the lamp is shining right down through the centre of the bowl. It's standing on my black chopping board which is nice for subtle reflections.

Unfortunately, I'm thinking that my lovely little hand held really isn't up to scratch for the quality I want in close-ups, so it will be back to borrowing my boyfriend's camera for food shots! My camera's great, but the macro focus is a bit...non existent. LOL.
