Rob - the light and shadow in this work really well. It has a definite 'back streets' atmosphere. You've done well with difficult exposure (I think the cobbles are a little 'blown' in places - but this doesn't particularly detract from the image for me). I find the bike (?) in the bottom right a bit distracting, and the figure in the street is a bit distant - and I think might help if he was a bit more prominent. I've uploaded a crop - see what you think. Only my subjective thoughts - obviously - to be taken or left as you see fit Smile

I can't really add to the above. I agree in this case the harsh light close to burn-out isn't as "offendsive' as usual because it does convey the feel of the harsh shafts of sunlight in the dark narrow streets. Also the shaft of light makes a great lead - in, almost like an arrow pointing right towards the figure.

I agree about the slight crop - the bike is a istracting and superfluous element
