Ive tweeked and manipulated this picture not sure whether it works- is the colour too much does the effect help or hinder ??

For me this does not work I'm sorry. As you are fully aware the Masai are a race of people who love there colourful clothes and although the image dose show that you were indeed trying something different which is something to be applauded for me as I have said it does not do it for me. Sorry.
I have looked back at your portfolio and the original of this image like all your other images is by far better.
Please do not take offence at my remarks.

No offence taken this was an experimental picture, my feelings are that you need to try things to improve some will work some wont - some will like it others wont - it is a matter of taste. Im not 100% happy with it myself but it was my first attempt at a different piece of soft ware.
But no offence taken i always appreciate constructive criticism of my work its how people improve.
