Welcome to epz and a great start to your posting too...wonderful colours on a very unusual looking (for me in the uk) bird.

I think the green of the fern goes well with the colour of the bird.

I've seen masked weavers in Senegal and actually held one in my hands after the poor little chap flew into a window and sunned himself. Once he came to his senses of course I let him go. I have got photographs of hm but I don't know whether or not they are worthy of uploading. Maybe I should pse one of them. Having bored you with that bit of info, I must ad that I love this shot of yours.
